Category talk:Cantor Set

Until the Euclidean Topology is imposed upon it, the Cantor Set is not a topological space as such, just a more-or-less interesting subset of the Real Numbers.

As such I think it's worth removing "Cantor Set" from the "Examples of Topologies" category and just leave it as a subcat of Set Theory. "Cantor Space" of course will be left as a subcat of "Examples of Topologies", and also of "Cantor Set".

Yes I noticed we were getting edit conflicts ... incidentally, I was wondering whether to set up a subcategory of "Category:Definitions/Set Theory" called Cantor Set, so as to make the whole package even more modular. --prime mover 07:23, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
