Historical Note on Chu-Vandermonde Identity
The Chu-Vandermonde Identity first appeared in Chu Shih-Chieh's The Precious Mirror of the Four Elements in $1303$.
It was rediscovered by Alexandre-Théophile Vandermonde and published in $1772$.
