A clock is a device for measuring the time of day.
In the context of clock puzzles, it is usual for the clock in question to be a conventional (unless otherwise specified) analogue clock consisting of an hour hand and a minute hand, also perhaps with a second hand, as follows:
Analogue Clock
An analogue clock is a clock where the time of day is indicated by means of a set of pointers called hands which indicate a position on a (usually) circular scale.
