Definition
A distributed parameter is a representation of the characteristics of an electrical component which takes its physical dimensions into account.
Examples
Antenna
Consider an antenna $A$ consisting of $100$ metres of copper wire.
The properties of $A$ are dependent upon the way the voltage and current are distributed along it.
Hence $A$ needs to be represented as a distributed parameter.
