An electrostatic force is the force exerted on an electric charge caused by an electric field due to stationary electric charges.
Electrostatic force is a vector quantity.
The magnitude and direction of an electrostatic force depends upon the positions and magnitudes of those electric charges.
Also known as
An electrostatic force is also known as a Coulomb force for Charles-Augustin de Coulomb.
