A periodic motion is a reciprocating motion that is repeated in an identical manner at regular intervals.
Period
Let $B$ be a body undergoing periodic motion.
The period (of periodic motion) of $B$ is the time taken for $B$ to make one complete journey from one end of its path to the other and back again.
