Definition talk:Completion (Metric Space)

Just began looking at a few of the proofread articles -- this and a couple to follow are to fill a gap relating to Hilbert space. Two points:

  • I couldn't find anything on the subject, but it may be under a different name, or I may just be being slow.
  • Completions should probably be defined for topological spaces not metric spaces, but I didn't pay much attention in topology.
If we need to add a definition for topology, we add it as a separate section in this page, like we done for other pages. I did okay in my topo course (long time ago now) but I can't remember anything about topologies being complete or not - thought the concept applied only to metric spaces. Might have to go and mug up.
Oh, and c'mon man, sign your posts. There's a little button at the top of the edit pane you just have to press. --prime mover 00:40, 18 February 2011 (CST)
