Definition talk:Convenience Sample

This work on statistics leads us into deep philosophical waters ...

Is it worth pointing out somewhere that a convenience sample may not be representative of the population as a whole? For example, "kangaroos that you can catch when you run after them" may provide a convenience sample for kangaroos whose hind legs you want to measure, but the statistical bias is obvious.
