Definition talk:Generalized Sum

I'm not sure about the "Note" section. If this definition also applies to a vector space, it would probably make sense to add a section describing it in that context - similarly to how this is done with continuity in its various contexts. As it is, if I were studying vector space (a concept I'm more-or-less familiar with) I'd be derailed by having to get my head round the concept of a topological group (which I'm not) mid-stream, so to speak. And vice versa: if I'm finding out what a topological group is, and I'm investigating topological sum, I'm going to have similar difficulty with this concept in the context of a Definition:Vector Space.

Also might be worth linking to Definition:Summation so as to bring all these definitions into one place (even if merely on the grounds that the notation is similar). --prime mover 01:47, 5 January 2012 (EST)
