Is it also worth pointing out that technically $\left(({\mathbf a \,.\,.\, \mathbf b}\right]]$ is also a half-open rectangle?
It's also probably worth putting a link to/from appropriate sections in the Definition:Real Interval page (now there's a page ripe for refactoring!), where this concept has already been noted (but not with any rigour). What we probably want to do is link to here from there in an "Also see" and remove the "Higher Dimension Intervals" section. --prime mover 10:28, 23 March 2012 (EDT)
