I would argue that alternative definitions are more important than alternative nomenclature. Also, is there a new standard section heading appearing? --Lord_Farin 17:17, 3 April 2012 (EDT)

a) Not convinced it's "importance" which determines order so much as going from "more central" to "more peripheral". "Also known as" comes before "also defined as" because "a.k.a." refers to the same thing (more central to the idea in question) while "a.d.a." refers to something similar but not quite the same (less central, more peripheral), and so on down.
b) If it seems to fit. The thought was at the back of my mind. --prime mover 17:35, 3 April 2012 (EDT)
a) Will do, keeping that order in mind, then. It makes sense. --Lord_Farin 17:37, 3 April 2012 (EDT)
