Definition talk:Power (Algebra)/Exponent

We have an issue here regarding the fact that "exponent" from the page structure seemingly can only refer to an exponent in a power of a number (cf. Definition:Power (Algebra)), not of an element in some algebraic structure (cf. Definition:Power of Element). It might be called for to split off the notational concern "exponent" (like base etc.) from the mathematical content.

As I am a bit out of shape, thoughts are most welcome. — Lord_Farin (talk) 19:49, 15 March 2022 (UTC)

Yes, thanks for this. Good call. I'll bend a brain cell when I have uninterrupted me-time to address to it. In my domestic situation I seem to be constantly at everyone's beck and call which distracts my trains of thought. --prime mover (talk) 22:13, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
Not to rush you, but just to have it documented: I would dedicate Definition:Exponent to the notation, transcluding specific definitions as applying to relevant contexts. — Lord_Farin (talk) 16:16, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
