Definition talk:Probability Mass Function

Brace and Brace refer to a Definition:Probability Mass Function as a probability distribution, which of course conflicts with Definition:Probability Distribution. Should I disambiguate prob. distribution, or address the ambiguity with "also known as"s? --GFauxPas (talk) 15:04, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

The two concepts are coincident (when we apply the latter to a discrete distribution) although stated in somewhat different languages :). I'll propose a merge (PMF is up for refactoring in any case). --Lord_Farin (talk) 15:07, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
