# Definition talk:Topological Field

I didn't find prime mover's joke, changing $\mathcal T$ to $\tau$, very funny. I've half-way decided to use variable names $a,A,b,B,c,C,\dots$, in that order, if "reasonable", "common", and "standard" names get changed to silly-looking ones.--Dfeuer (talk) 11:27, 10 January 2013 (UTC)
You do understand that $\tau$ is site-wide universal notation for a topology, don't you? Also, I don't understand what's silly about it. If you can't get your head around this minor notational point, I suggest you take a good night's rest before contributing further. --Lord_Farin (talk) 11:36, 10 January 2013 (UTC)
