Is this the same thing as Definition:Oscillation (Analysis)? If so, is there mileage in merging them? --prime mover (talk) 00:03, 19 December 2021 (UTC)

It seems more related to Definition:Total Variation. In my textbook there's an exercise in a later section that relates the two concepts in the case that $\mu$ is real (ie. is a finite signed measure) which seems analogous to the connection between absolute continuity of a real function and absolute continuity of a measure. So possibly, feel free to do so. Caliburn (talk) 11:29, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
Though there is also a notion of "total variation" for measures, which I'm just refactoring into Definition:Total Variation. Caliburn (talk) 11:42, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
No I don't have enough knowledge of this area to be comfortable knowing what I'm doing. --prime mover (talk) 14:01, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
