Historical Note on Principle of Sufficient Reason

The Principle of Sufficient Reason was the main philosophical starting point of Leibniz.

He made this statement in article $32$ of his $1714$ work Monadologie:

[N]o fact can be real or existent, no statement true, unless there be a sufficient reason why it is so and not otherwise, although usually these reasons cannot be known to us.
