  • The $\LaTeX$ issue has been fixed! --Joe

September 7, 2008

  • Changed the site namespace from "Proofwiki.org" to "ProofWiki". I fixed up most of the inconsistent links. It shouldn't be too hard to get them all changed. --Joe
  • I removed the TableEdit extension as I don't think anyone was using it and since you could only edit tables which were created with it, it was not much use. If anybody was using it and would like me to put it back, let me know. --Joe
  • SiteGround(our host) has investigated the issue and apparently the program which converts postscript files to png's is broken. There working on fixing it now, and it should be back up and working soon! --Joe 20:06, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

September 6, 2008

  • I copied the site to my home computer and set it up there. No problems, so I've emailed the host again, and hopefully they can figure something out. --Joe 00:49, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
  • I've narrowed it down to the program which converts the $\LaTeX$ postscript files to png's. I've noticed this also effects general image resizing. Getting close! --Joe 17:32, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
  • I've created a new copy of the site using a backup from August 29, 2008. This version doesn't work either, so I've emailed the host again. My guess is that they may have changed a path, or modified a file, that has had an effect on the wiki. Hopefully we'll get this fixed soon. --Joe 13:47, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

September 4, 2008

  • So I still haven't been able to get the site fixed yet. So far I've figured out that the software used which turns the $\LaTeX$ into png's is working fine, but the site software doesn't know this, I'm still looking for a solution to solve this. Anyone who has MediaWiki skills and has any ideas please e-mail me. --Joe 00:07, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

September 3, 2008

  • The $\LaTeX$ rendering software is not working correctly, the host server is looking into its sudden break (since it's not a problem on our side). Hopefully this will be fixed soon. --Joe 23:42, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

Aug 24, 2008

  • I will upgrade the site to the new version of MediaWiki once I get back from vacation. --Joe

  • We haven't quite worked out all the kinks, or the specific formatting/categorization issues. People are adding new proofs, and should continue to do so. A lot of formatting and categorization specifics and guidelines should become clear once we have a body of work to work with. So thank you, everyone, for your contributions, and keep at it. :) - RickettsAM 22:38, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
