Instead of commenting out the equation template, maybe we should just say it's deprecated? --Joe (talk) 05:42, 27 February 2011 (CST)

Maybe, but (a) I'm using "Special Pages: Most linked-to templates" to find all the instances of the Equation template and I wanted to make sure I didn't keep picking this up, and (b) this is old news that isn't showing anyway. We can uncomment it again later but right now I want to make this job as clean as I can. Haven't got far to go, less than 250 instances left.
You may say "why bother? We just need to fix the broken ones" but I'd rather we cleared up them all up now so that we can guarantee that we've picked up every instance of broken equations.
The task of picking up the rest of the broken latex will have to be done piecemeal, unless we all make an effort to go through each and every page on the site, but I wouldn't want to wish that on anyone right now. --prime mover 06:51, 27 February 2011 (CST)
I think you misunderstood my comment, I meant just for this page. Then anyone looking back through the news would not miss anything. --Joe (talk) 13:09, 27 February 2011 (CST)
Sorry yes I think I *am* misunderstanding, I commented it out because whether I indicate it as deprecated or not, the "most linked-to templates" page that I'm using to get an instant shot of what pages still use the "Equation" template. No matter, I've added the thing back in but now it points the world towards the "Eqn" template. --prime mover 14:42, 27 February 2011 (CST)

I got really confused reading this on the 7th... --Alec (talk) 01:24, 7 April 2012 (EDT)

Ram upgrade

Is the ram to be upgraded to a ewe, an ibex, a goat, an ox, or just a woolier ram? --Dfeuer (talk) 02:25, 10 April 2013 (UTC)

Jokes aside, thanks a lot, Joe, for all the work you do here behind the scenes. --Dfeuer (talk) 03:31, 10 April 2013 (UTC)
