ProofWiki talk:Wanted proofs list
I suggest that we include links to the wikipedia page or some other source for the wanted proofs so we know what it is you are requesting a proof of --cynic
Good idea. --Joe 16:15, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
Hmm ... maybe, but there's a danger that someone will just cut and paste the document or something crass like that. I'd like to think there's more likely to be an essence of intellectual purity if one were to do one's own research. After all, one can always google. But feel free to do what thou wilt ... as for me, I've included a couple of proofs in there that I feel confident in proving myself (I just need to work up to it). --Prime.mover 17:44, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
Is the proof of Wilson's Theorem complete enough that we should remove it from this list? --Cynic (talk) 02:52, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
I believe so, but it needs some explanations which can be separate proofs. I'll try and make a start on number theory once I've got some more of that analysis out of the way. --Prime.mover 08:50, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
How should we list
Think we should have the list numbered instead of bulleted? --Joe (talk) 02:19, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
Not sure it matters. Feel free to switch it to numbered if you prefer. --Cynic (talk) 02:45, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
Red Links
This page claims that we want scores of proofs, but if nobody has put forth the time to even start a page, how much is that proof really wanted? Thoughts on skinnying this page down to perhaps two dozen proofs where at least a page has been started? --Robkahn131 (talk) 01:47, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
- I'd rather we don't remove anything unless it's complete. --prime mover (talk) 07:11, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
