Solving the problem

I am about to write down the solution to this problem. Should I create a new article or modify this one, with "Problem" replaced by "Theorem", with appropriately adapted text from this article? Julius (talk) 15:19, 18 February 2019 (EST) I have just remembered that there are extensions of the classical problem like famous hole in earth example as well as simple extensions to non-euclidean geometries. Maybe simple "*/something" would do the job without affecting this article? Julius (talk) 15:28, 18 February 2019 (EST)

See Brachistochrone is Cycloid, which can be found in the "Also see" section. --prime mover (talk) 15:46, 18 February 2019 (EST)
Very well. Then maybe I could add a second proof to "Brachistochrone is Cycloid", which uses minimization of the time functional, which avoids explicit use of Snell-Descartes Law.Julius (talk) 04:12, 19 February 2019 (EST)
