My thought was that it would be nice to have a proof that takes the approach in Metric Induces Topology. But now that I've thought on your comment for a while, it does seem that Proof 2 doesn't add anything. Feel free to delete it. --abcxyz (talk) 16:35, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
