Welcome

Welcome to ProofWiki! Since you're new, you may want to check out the general help page. It's the best first stop to see how things are done (next to reading proofs, of course!). Please feel free to contribute to whichever area of mathematics interests you, either by adding new proofs, or fixing up existing ones. If you have any questions please feel free to contact one of the administrators, or post your question on the questions page.

Here are some useful pages to help get you started:

  • Community Portal - To see what needs to be done, and keep up to date with the community.
  • Recent Changes - To keep up with what's new, and what's being added.
  • Check out our house style if you are keen on contributing.
  • Main Page talk - This is where most of the main discussions regarding the direction of the site take place. If you have any ideas, please share them!

Cheers!

Advice

Wlod, if you want to edit Schur's Theorem, please edit the page of the entire theorem. If you just edit the section named Template:Namedfor, your edits will show up on all pages that use this template, not just Schur's Theorem. That's why I'm removing your edits. --Anghel (talk) 19:41, 25 December 2012 (UTC)

That's a very friendly, extremely helpful, and constructive solution. Wlod (talk) 21:09, 25 December 2012 (UTC)
I just copied your work over into the place where it belongs (I believe). --Dfeuer (talk) 21:53, 25 December 2012 (UTC)
Thank you. (It's ironic that a vandal has Anghel for her/his nickname). Wlod (talk) 02:30, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
If you accuse a well-meaning editor of vandalism one more time, you're blocked from editing. --prime mover (talk) 09:42, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
You're spoiling for it. You have already attacked me personally elsewhere. Go ahead. With wiki editors like you--poor merit wise, muddy logic wise, arrogant, obstinate--I have nothing to do here in the first place (so, save me time :-)). When I encounter an act of vandalism, then I call it vandalism; and the one who commits such an act is a vandal. Your rude threats will not change this. Have a good day, wiki editor (you give wiki editor a bad name). Wlod (talk) 15:31, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
I have blocked you on grounds of repetitive insult, for the duration of one week. After that, you are welcome to display you have located your manners.
It is really a pity that an evidently knowledgeable editor is incapable of acknowledging to have pre-emptively judged. I had some hope you would actually provide meaningful contribution to this site in good harmony. It appears to me that you need a course on dealing with non-personal critique. --Lord_Farin (talk) 15:55, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
