Definition
A stellation of a polyhedron $H$ is a solid figure formed by extending the faces of $H$ until they meet.
The usual context for such a stellation is of a regular polyhedron or semiregular polyhedron such that the extended faces meet symmetrically.
Linguistic Note
The word stellation derives from the Latin stellātus, meaning starred, which in turn comes from the Latin stella, meaning star.
