Linguistic Note on Apodosis
The word Apodosis is from the Ancient Greek ἀπόδοσις (apódosis), from ἀπό (apó), meaning back again, and δόσις (dósis), meaning gift.
The word has been adopted by the theatre world as a word meaning the last part of a play, usually the third act of a traditional $3$-act play.
Really would not expect this word to come up in a serious mathematical exposition, but, you know, some people may come across it at some point.
