Definition
Let $F$ be a solid geometric figure.
Let there exist a reflection $R$ in an plane of reflection $P$ such that $\map R F$ is a (reflectional) symmetry.
Then $F$ has (solid) bilateral symmetry about $AB$.
Plane of Bilateral Symmetry
Let $F$ be a solid geometric figure.
Let $\map R F$ be a bilateral symmetry in a plane of reflection $P$.
Then $P$ is referred to as an plane of bilateral symmetry of $F$.
