Historical Note on Cayley-Menger Determinant
The Cayley-Menger determinant was given this name by Leonhard M. Blumenthal in $1953$.
His justification was that it had been proposed initially in $1841$ by Arthur Cayley, and subsequently by Karl Menger in $1923$.
