The word estimate is the same in its verb form:
- to estimate: to make an approximation to a particular estimator.
and noun form.
However, they are pronounced slightly differently.
- The noun form is pronounced something like es-tim-ut.
- The verb form is pronounced something like es-tim-ayt.
