Definition
A frequency table is a table which contains a summary of the absolute or relative frequencies or both for a set of observations.
It can also be extended to display cumulative frequencies.

Arbitrary Example
Consider the observations:
- $2, 3, 5, 5, 5, 7, 9, 9, 9, 10$
The frequency table corresponding to the above is:
Observation | $2$ | $3$ | $5$ | $7$ | $9$ | $10$ |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Absolute frequency | $1$ | $1$ | $3$ | $1$ | $3$ | $1$ |
Cumulative frequency | $1$ | $2$ | $5$ | $6$ | $9$ | $10$ |
