Jupiter is the fifth planet of the solar system from the sun.
Its orbit lies between those of Mars and Saturn.
Historical Note
Among the hundreds of Babylonian clay tablets, there are a number which record planetary data.
In particular, there is one which records the daily motion of the planet Jupiter over the course of some $400$ days.
