Definition
Let $C$ be a locus.
A singular point $P \in C$ is called a multiple point if and only if $C$ intersects itself at $P$ such that there are $2$ or more tangents to $C$ at $P$.
Also known as
A multiple point is also known as a $k$-tuple point, where $k$ is the number of intersecting tangents.
