Definition
Let $S = \set {f_1, f_2, \ldots}$ be a set of real functions that are integrable over the closed real interval $\closedint a b$.
Let $S$ be a set of orthogonal functions which are also normal functions.
Then $S$ is a set of orthonormal functions.
