This is only well-defined if $f\neq 0$ and $F$ is infinite. Basically, degree $n$ has to be considered an inseparable part of homogenuous of degree $n$. --barto (talk) 04:27, 24 September 2017 (EDT)

I think that your remark implies that $f$ does not necessarily have only one degree. However, it would seem that the definition makes sense in one way or another. I don't know how to resolve this. — Lord_Farin (talk) 05:43, 24 September 2017 (EDT)
