I see the comments about the equivalence of these definitions, but rather than do it directly on this page I would rather it were done in a separate page linked to as an "also see" in the individual subpages (and the main page as well, probably). I'm working towards that direction at the moment, having been gradually working through and re-evaluating a whole bunch of stuff that got posted up some 3-4 years ago. --prime mover 01:21, 27 May 2012 (EDT)
