Example of Order $4$ Pandiagonal Magic Square
This is an example of an order $4$ pandiagonal magic square:
- $\begin {array} {|c|c|c|c|} \hline 1 & 8 & 11 & 14 \\ \hline 12 & 13 & 2 & 7 \\ \hline 6 & 3 & 16 & 9 \\ \hline 15 & 10 & 5 & 4 \\ \hline \end {array}$
It is noted by inspection that:
- the sum of the elements of each row is $34$
- the sum of the elements in each column is $34$
- the sum of the elements along each diagonal is $34$
- the sum of the elements along each broken diagonal, for example $11, 7, 6, 10$, is $34$
