Example of Rounding to Even
$1 \cdotp 565$ rounded to $2$ decimal places using rounding to even is $1 \cdotp 56$.
Proof
We have that $1 \cdotp 565$ is equally far away from $1 \cdotp 56$ as it is from $1 \cdotp 57$.
But $1 \cdotp 56$ ends in an even integer.
That is, $1356$ is even.
Hence the result.
$\blacksquare$
