Thanks Jshflynn for your effort. However I'd say that a more effective way to split up the reasoning is really to consider the cases where the union is finite, resp. infinite. I'll try to come up with a proper approach later today. That should work, though it was most natural to include an as of yet unwritten result that a series of natural numbers converges iff it has a tail of zeroes. — Lord_Farin (talk) 11:40, 27 February 2013 (UTC)
