The entry on WP refers to the square of the Vandermonde polynomial. This is completely different, but symmetric in the $x_n$ (the polynomial, $\det \mathbf V$, possibly changes sign when two $x_i$ are interchanged). --Lord_Farin 21:13, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
