Retired professional mathematician and IT consultant - primarily leveraged mathematics for IT performance/stability analysis and capacity monitoring/planning/forecasting.

Enjoy proving things, especially if there's an elegant solution which may be worthy of inclusion in The Book - definitely don't like theorems that require lots of tedious slog in their proofs.

Current Focus

Primarily focussed on the existing entries that need proofs and/or clarification; often the simplest solution is to add missing theorems which may in turn require further theorems and/or definitions to be added. Some areas require an extensive amount of background, e.g. summation methods, whilst others probably only require a few key results, e.g. the very high correlation between the various sums of squares results and their factors being almost exclusively prime numbers of the form $4n + 1$.
