Definition
Let $f$ be a physical process that can be modelled by a periodic function whose nature is that of a sinusoid.
The angular frequency of $f$ is a measure of the rate of oscillation of $f$ equal to $2 \pi \nu$, where $\nu$ is the frequency of $f$.
Dimension
Angular frequency has dimension $\mathsf T^{-1}$.
Units
The unit of measurement of angular frequency is the radian per second.
Symbol
The usual symbol used to denote angular frequency is $\omega$.
Also known as
Angular frequency is also known as pulsatance.
