Definition

Let $B$ be immersed (either fully or partly) in a fluid $F$.

The buoyancy of $B$ is defined as the upward force on $B$ exerted by $F$.

Center of Buoyancy

The center of buoyancy of $B$ is defined as the center of gravity of the displaced volume of $F$.
