Let $\mathcal R \subseteq S \times S$ be a relation in $S$.
$\mathcal R$ is circular if and only if:
$\left({x, y}\right) \in \mathcal R \land \left({y, z}\right) \in \mathcal R \implies \left({z, x}\right) \in \mathcal R$
