Definition
The SI base units of the henry are:
- $\mathrm H := \mathrm {kg} \, \mathrm m^2 \, \mathrm s^{-2} \mathrm A^{-2}$
where:
- $\mathrm {kg}$ denotes kilograms
- $\mathrm m$ denotes metres
- $\mathrm s$ denotes seconds (of time)
- $\mathrm A$ denotes ampere.
This arises from its definition as $\mathrm {Wb} \, \mathrm A^{-1}$, that is: webers per ampere.
