Kernel: Also denoted as
The notation $\map {\mathrm {Ker} } \phi$ can sometimes be seen for the kernel of $\phi$.
It can also be presented as $\ker \phi$ or $\operatorname {Ker} \phi$, that is, without the parenthesis indicating a mapping.
