Definition

In the words of Euclid:

A point is that which has no part.

(The Elements: Book $\text{I}$: Definition $1$)

This is interpreted to mean that a point is something that can not be divided into anything smaller.

That is, it is an object in space which has zero size and is therefore the smallest thing that can be imagined.

The only property possessed by a point is position.
