Definition
Let $B_1$ and $B_2$ be bodies in space.
Let $B_1$ apply a force $\mathbf F$ on $B_2$.
The opposite force to $\mathbf F$ is the force which $B_2$ applies to $B_1$, according to Newton's Third Law of Motion.

The opposite force to a given force is often referred to as the reaction.
