Definitions 1 and 3 differ only in that the one expands the definition of order, and the other doesn't. Merge? — Lord_Farin (talk) 22:20, 13 September 2013 (UTC)

My view is that the language used is sufficiently different (order of group element, multiple of additive group element) that it is non-intuitive to the beginner. Clearly the equivalence proof will clarify. The language of "order" is neater, but the language of "least multiple that makes it zero" is simpler (in that fewest concepts need to be grasped). --prime mover (talk) 22:26, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
