Personally, I would want "finite rank" to mean bounded as well. But I guess it's not a big deal. I would also prefer the terminology finite rank over degenerate. Caliburn (talk) 19:38, 4 September 2024 (UTC)

I find it OK to rename "degenerate" to "finite rank". But why do you want to assume the boundedness? This is purely a linear algebra concept, which has nothing to do with norm or topology. To be honest, I would like to delete this too specific version, because there is nothing special for Hilbert spaces. --Usagiop (talk) 22:07, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
