I've been taught that, while $sin^{-1}$ is misleading (and in fact does not exist), $Sin^{-1}$ (capital S) is defined to be the same as $arcsin$. Has anyone else learned this, or is it just my teachers being weird? --Cynic (talk) 18:21, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
