I can introduce the primes for the second triangle in Fig 2. That might help. --Telliott99 (talk) 16:26, 17 October 2023 (UTC)

That sounds like a plan --prime mover (talk) 16:27, 17 October 2023 (UTC)
I do think the reason the proof seems awkward is that we have labeled vertices. If there were only labeled sides it would be much cleaner. --Telliott99 (talk) 16:45, 17 October 2023 (UTC)
The sides are still different sides, because the triangles are different triangles --prime mover (talk) 17:57, 17 October 2023 (UTC)
Use the lengths of the sides as the labels. --Telliott99 (talk) 18:49, 17 October 2023 (UTC)

I believe I can write a proof from this. Lose the colors, if you like.

That might work. Make the proof completely visual. The geometry is trivial enough as to get in the way. We have a precedent for visual proofs. --prime mover (talk) 22:36, 17 October 2023 (UTC)
I'd appreciate a pointer to one. Actually, that could make an interesting Category. --Telliott99 (talk) 09:48, 18 October 2023 (UTC)
