Talk:Union of Overlapping Convex Sets in Toset is Convex

The language of the result does not match the language of the title, despite the fact that they "basically mean the same thing". Should this be renamed to match the language of convex sets, and a special instance being made of where $S$ is $\R$ which would match the language of the title of this page? --prime mover (talk) 22:08, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
- I'd consider that appropriate, yes. More so as the apparent consensus is to keep reserving "interval" for the case $\R$. --Lord_Farin (talk) 22:09, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
- More fuel to the argument that suggests that an area of mathematics is developed systematically. It makes it difficult to follow what's being done if the language and structure keep changing all the time.
- My view is: until such time as the language is brought together, make the names of the pages match what is inside them, rather than leave the imagined changes hanging. --prime mover (talk) 22:17, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
- Please leave the page about real intervals alone. It is perfectly good as it is. --prime mover (talk) 23:06, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
